The Marching Knights took part in the Sound of Brownsburg Invitational while the Imperial Regiment competed in the Avon Meijer Invitational and the Meijer Greenwood Band Invitational.
At Avon, Clay City -- competing in Class D -- placed second with an overall score of 58.35. Tri-West won the competition with a score of 62.15.
At Greenwood, the Imperial Regiment won with a score of 67 points. Springs Valley was second at 63.30 while Triton Central was third with 61.30.
Clay City picked up awards for music and percussion.
The Marching Knights placed second in Class B at the Sound of Brownsburg Invitational, scoring 78.70 points. Plainfield won the class with 78.90 points.
Northview did receive awards for music, visual and auxiliary.
The Marching Knights and Imperial Regiment will take part in the Indiana State School Music Association District contest at Southport High School in Indianapolis Saturday.
Following Saturday's competition, Northview will compete at Indiana State University while Clay City will be at Center Grove and Ben Davis.
