North Clay sixth-grade scores win at Cascade

CASCADE -- North Clay's sixth-grade volleyball team came away with the Cascade Invitational championship over the weekend.

The Knights took a 25-20, 25-5 decision over North Putnam before knocking off Monrovia, 25-13, 25-13 in the title game.

For the Knights in the first match, McKenzi Kumpf led the way with 11 service points and Whitney Halfhill added seven for the Knights. Sydney Buell contributed six points in the victory while Hannah Minor added five.

In the second match, Minor topped the squad with eight points followed by a seven point effort from Mannah Mace, six from Halfill and five from Mikayla Rowan.
