CCHS teacher receives award

CLAY CITY -- Susan Rhodes wasn't expecting it at all.

On Wednesday, associates with the Wal-Mart Distribution Center, Greencastle, awarded the Clay City High School Special Services teacher with its 2008 Teacher of the Year award.

"I enjoy my job," Rhodes said. "What I do, I do for the kids."

Rhodes was informed of the award during homeroom hour Wednesday morning.

She received a Wal-Mart gift card worth $100, a plaque and a jacket. In addition, the school received a grant from Wal-Mart worth $1,000.
