CASCADE -- North Clay's volleyball teams took to the road on Thursday night to take on Cascade with mixed results.
The sixth-grade squad stayed on a roll, downing the Cadets, 25-13, 25-10 as Whitney Halfhill rang up eight service points and McKenzi Kumpf added nine for the Knights.
Lainey Latham added four in the win.
The seventh and eighth-grade Knights didn't fare quite as well with the Cadets scoring wins against both squads.
North Clay's seventh-grade fell 15-25, 23-25 while struggling with its service game.
Shelbi Morris had seven points to lead the team while Audrey Clark and Katie Girton each had three. Jade Mills contributed two points and Jami Warner had one for the Knights.
The eighth-grade dropped a three set decision, 23-25, 25-22, 11-15 despite 10 points, six kills and two blocks from Brylie Riddell, who also had two aces.
Taylor Dickison scored five points in the first game and Nicole Linton added six points with an ace. Ashley Sutherland served up two points, Chandler Pell had three and Sierra Girton added three points and an ace. Alexus Bex had two points and Courtney Maccarone added a point.
The sixth-grade also got a win on Wednesday at Riverton Parke, 25-7, 25-16.
The sixth-grade competes in the Monrovia Tourney while the seventh and eighth-grade competes for a conference championship at Sullivan in the WIC Tourney beginning at 9 a.m.
