Forest Alden Reeves, 89, Tucson, Ariz., formerly of Clay County, died Oct. 2, 2008, in Tucson.
He was born Nov. 1, 1918, in Lena, Ind., as the son of Carl C. and Lula Mae Danberry Reeves. Forest was an experienced carpenter. He greatest passion was woodworking. What he made out of wood and gave to others is his legacy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Virginia Ellen (Cottrell) Reeves in 1994, brother Hershel H. Reeves and sister Lelia Wylie.
He is survived by son Darrell Reeves and wife Erica, Tucson, grandchildren Rebecca, Daniel and Aaron Reeves, brother Marvin Reeves, Texas, and sisters Mary Nell McDonough and Janet Pierce, both of Brazil.
Visitation will be 10-11 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2008, at Moore Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, with burial to follow at Calcutta Cemetery.
