Replaced
The Clay County Commissioners and Highway Department reopened one of the bridges damaged by the floods on June 6, 2008. The bridge, located on County Road 100 South, one-quarter mile west of CR 600 W, is the first completed project with FEMA approval. The bridge was replaced with a flat car that is 35-feet long and more than 21-feet wide, and the county was only responsible for 25 percent of the total cost as FEMA is reimbursing the remainder of the cost to Clay County.
