The draws for the 2008 football sectional was made on Tuesday evening and Northview didn't exactly get any favors in the selection.
The Knights not only have to hit the road for a long trip to Evansville, but have to face the defending state champions in Class 4A, Evansville Reitz.
Though the Panthers are led by a new coach in Tony Lewis, Reitz is also 6-1 this season with their lone loss coming on a trip to Owensboro, Ky.
Other first round games include Owen Valley (3-4) heading to Jasper and Evansville Central (4-3) visiting Boonville (4-3). Evansville Harrison (0-7) received the bye.
If you're a believer in Jeff Sagarin's power rankings, Reitz has the best overall ranking in Sectional 16 with a 76.81, which is good enough for 38th in the state. The Knights are currently fourth in the sectional and 188th in the state.
Northview is scheduled to face Evansville Reitz on Oct. 24.
