Glen A. Fry, 74, Brazil, passed away at Cloverleaf Health Care, Oct. 8, 2008, following an extended illness.
He was born in South Bend, Ind., June 14, 1934, to Grant and Nora (Goodar) Fry.
He graduated from Jackson High School with the class of 1969.
On Jan. 25, 1958, he married Luella Losey.
He worked for Clark Equipment Company in Michigan Center, Mich., from 1958-77, when the company moved to North Carolina. He also worked as a truck driver for North American and Michigan Nebraska truck lines from 1977-84, until retiring due to health concerns.
Mr. Fry was ordained as a Baptist minister and worked part-time at General Baptist Church in Jackson, Mich., from 1969-77. He was an avid fisherman and he enjoyed painting, attending auctions and playing cards.
He was preceded in death by his parents, son Louis Craig Fry, daughter Beth Ann Charles, and sisters Betty Gillett and Beverly Bowerman.
Survivors include his wife Luella, sons Johnny Fry, Jackson, Mich., Bryan Fry Sr. and wife Shirley, Brazil, grandchildren Jason Fry, Johnny Fry Jr., Tasha Wilson, Bryan Fry Jr., Nichole Charles, Melissa Charles and John Charles, great-grandfther of eight, sisters Emma Woodward and Joyce Burnett and husband Robert, all of Jackson, Mich., as well as several nieces and nephews and extended family members.
At his request, cremation has been scheduled.
Memorial services will take place at 2 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 12, 2008, at his son Bryan Fry's house, 5405 W. Dogwood Ln., Brazil, 47834. French Funeral Home, Brazil, has been entrusted with care.
