Letter to the Editor

Thanks for the support following accident

Monday, October 13, 2008

To the Editor:

On Sept. 13, 2008, my husband David (most of you know him as Little Tobe) and I were involved in a motorcycle accident in Putnam County,

We were hurt, but not seriously and are continuing to recover.

Rescue personnel, bystanders and police officers were all there within just minutes of our accident.

We would also like to thank Dr. VanBuren and the staff of Putnam County Hospital emergency room for their excellent care of us that day. We appreciate all you did.

Most of all, we want to thank our family and friends who assisted us with getting back on our feet. We love you so much and cannot express how much we appreciate you. We want to thank all of you out there who prayed for us. We know that God was with us that day.

Lastly, I would like to send out a message to all motorists, please watch out for motorcycles! They are vehicles too! The greatest danger for a motorcyclist is another vehicle pulling out in front of them. Also, I want to add that it is so important for riders to wear a helmet. A half helmet is better than none.

We will wear our from now on.

Roberta Sutherlin,
