Rex E. DuBois, 86, Patricksburg, died Monday, Oct. 13, 2008, at the Residence At McCormick's Creek, Spencer.
He was born April 9, 1922, in Shelburn, Ind., the son of Christian Nicholas DuBois and Stella Mae (McGranahan) DuBois.
He was the owner/operator of DuBois Lumber, Hardware and Sawmill, Bowling Green.
He married Ellen M. (Graves) DuBois on April 21, 1944. She survives.
Additional survivors include daughters Dorothy Skelton and husband Robert, Clay City, Pamela Gwaltney and husband John, Bowling Green, Carole Stewart and husband Gosport, and Audrey Enyart and husband Donald, Indianapolis, sons Bruce DuBois and wife Judith, Solsberry, Paul DuBois and wife Suzie, Owensboro, Ky., and Lester DuBois, Bowling Green, brother Carl DuBois and wife Isabelle, Bowling Green, daughter-in-law Teresa A. DuBois, Bowling Green, 13 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents Christian Nicholas and Stella Mae DuBois, son Dwight "Bud" Eugene DuBois, sisters Nellie Beatty, Lucy King and Bertha Fulk, brothers Elmer DuBois, Fred DuBois, Charlie DuBois and Ernest DuBois, and granddaughter Ruth Ann Delorme.
Services will take place at 11 a.m., Friday, Oct. 17, 2008, at Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale. Burial will take place at Cloverdale Cemetery, Cloverdale.
Visitation is from 4-8 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 16, 2008, at the funeral home.
