She was born July 26, 1944, in Detroit, the daughter of the late Thomas C. and the late Jesse Jean (Lynch) Marsden.
Over the years, she was employed at several different places in the Wabash Valley, including Columbia House.
Her favorite employment was working as a Special Needs Education Aide.
She loved working with the children in several county school districts, including Clay Community Schools.
She was a member of the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church in Terre Haute and the Knightsville Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star.
She belonged to the Chapeau de la Rough Chapter of the Red Hat Society and was so happy to participate with them in the recent Brazil K-Day Parade.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son George A. Williamson II.
She is survived by daughter Carrie Basso and grandchildren Sarah, Abbie and Samuel Stone, all of Brazil, sister Millicent "Mitzi" Giles and brother Thomas "Sam" S. Marsden, both of Michigan, as well as several nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends.
Funeral services will take place at 11 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 18, 2008, at Moore Funeral Home, Brazil, with Pastor Charlie Parr officiating. Burial will follow at Clearview Cemetery.
Visitation is from 9-11 a.m., Saturday, at the funeral home.
