Benefit for R.E.I.N. Center scheduled

Thursday, October 16, 2008

"This is a great way to help the R.E.I.N. Center Community Library," event organizer Kae Smith told The Brazil Times.

Crop for Books will take place Oct. 24, from 5 p.m.-midnight at the R.E.I.N. Center Community Library in Clay City.

"We have approximately 48 spots open, so we are taking reservations," Smith said

"We ask for $20 and that reservations be turned in by Monday, Oct. 20."

Patrons will receive beverages, and snacks as well as a light supper.

"Along with the food and beverages we will be having a yard sale table, door prizes goodie bags and with all proceeds going to the center," Smith said.

"Vendors will also have products available to purchase or special order."

Patrons are asked to bring supplies to complete their pages, extra money to purchase supplies or enter drawings.

"I am looking forward to the event. I like to see what other creative ideas people can come up with," Smith said.

"It gives me a chance to get out of the house and to get all of my pictures organized."
