Ada M. Naanes, 73, Spencer, passed away at the Owen Valley Health Campus, Sunday, Oct. 19, 2008.
She was born Nov. 26, 1934, to Charles E. and Rita J. (Leach) Welch, in Brazil.
Ada had worked at Spencer Cord until its closing. She was a homemaker, Sunday School teacher and member of the Missionary Circle at Cuba Baptist.
Ms. Naanes is survived by sons Andy (Lori) Naanes, Gosport, and Philip (Stormi) Naanes, Bloomington, daughters Teresa Evans, Brazil, Brenda (Bryon) Haulk, Spencer, and Sarah (Brian) Yeatman, Spencer, brother Houston Welch, Florida, and grandchildren Tiffany and Troy Naanes, Josh, Colleen and Jared Haulk, Stephanie and Hannah Yeatman, and McKayla and Kyla Caraway.
She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Lanetta Naanes, brothers Richard Welch, Bernard Welch and Emanuel Welch, sisters Maudie Eavey, Cecelia Schaffer, Ruby Carlin and Gertrude Witty and two grandchildren.
Funeral services will take place at 10 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 23, 2008, at West and Parrish and Pedigo Funeral Home, Spencer, with Bro. Alan Farmer and Bro. James McMahon officiating. Burial will follow at Hudson Hill Cemetery, Owen County.
Visitation is from 4-8 p.m., Wednesday, and 8:30 a.m., until the time of services Thursday, at the funeral home.
