STAUNTON FIRST CHRISTIAN CHURCH
Sunday School begins at 9:30 a.m., with worship service following at 10:30 a.m.
Doug Parkey is the minister and Nic Elliott is the youth leader.
If you need transportation to morning worship service, please phone the church office at 446-3211; the bus is wheelchair equipped. Children's Church and Wee Worship are at 10:30 a.m. in the Educational Building.
As part of Preacher Appreciation Day, we will have a pitch-in dinner in the Educational Building following morning worship this Sunday. Meat and drinks will be furnished. Please bring side dishes and desserts to share. We will also have a card shower.
Sunday evening church service and youth groups, including the Puppet Ministry and Praise Band, meet at 6 p.m.
Bible Study and Prayer Group meets at 7 p.m. on Wednesday evening.

STAUNTON UNITED METHODIST CHURCH
Our Fall Party is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 1, beginning at 6 p.m. It will be held at the Nussels' lake, weather permitting. Plan to attend for an evening of fun, food, and fellowship.
Happy Birthday to Zach Mormans on Oct. 28.
Sunday School is at 9:30 a.m. Church service begins at 10:30. David Brown is our Pastor and his wife Elaine brings the Children's Message. Glenna Simons is the pianist. We are planning a card shower to honor Pastor Brown this Sunday.
Everyone plan to bring a thank-you card to church to show how much we appreciate his service and dedication.
The Community Food Pantry is now scheduled to be open on the last Wednesday afternoon of each month from 3-5 p.m., in the church basement.
The next Food Pantry day will be next Wednesday, Oct. 29. Anyone in the Staunton area in need of help is welcome. We truly appreciate the support of our friends at Staunton First Christian Church, as well as other churches, civic organizations, and individuals, in helping to make this needed outreach a success.
A container is located in the Staunton Town Office for anyone who would like to contribute non-perishable food items.
Please remember to keep praying for everyone who is battling illness, as well as all the brave men and women of our military and their families.
Also remember in prayer all the folks in nursing homes and hospitals, and those who have lost loved ones. Go out of your way to be kind to someone, and pray for everyone.
