Trunk or Treat!

Wednesday, October 29, 2008

Area residents receive candy during the Community of Children's Ministries "Trunk or Treat" Wednesday night at Forest Park. Organizers proclaimed the event, which is geared toward elementary-aged school children, to be a huge success. Patrons went around to different trunks of cars and listened to different bible stories that were put on by area churches. At the end of the stories children received candy in their bags. My young daughters had a wonderful time participating in this event ~ we had to wait a long time ~ the community response to this event was awesome ~ but our wait was worth every wonderful trunk of stories & mini skits ~ Thanks to all the folk that braved the cold temperatures for Clay County's youngsters ~ we'll definitely be back next year ~

I have taken my son to this event for the last 4yrs if not longer and he always has a great time! Thanks so much to all those who participated and made it possible for the kids to learn about Jesus while enjoying the spirit of Halloween. I know you freeze your buns off every year but you are much appreciated!!!
