Joseph G. Murphy Jr.

Joseph G. Murphy Jr., 68, Indianapolis, formerly of Brazil, died Nov. 5, 2008, in Indianapolis.

He was born Aug. 14, 1940, in Brazil, the son of Joseph G. and Ella (Henshilwood) Murphy Sr.

He worked as a quality inspector for General Motors for 33 years.

He served in the military with the United States Marines Corp.

Survivors include Charlotte L. Murphy, and children Christie Clements (Nick) and Michael Joseph Murphy, sisters Bridget Ikerd (Bill), and Sally Gross, and grandchildren Doug, Megan and Morgan Clements, and Jazime Murphy.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Patricia Bussing.

Visitation is from 3-8 p.m., Sunday, at Conkle Funeral Home, Speedway. Services will take place Monday at 11:30 a.m., at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Westridge Park.
