* Home Again
The Clay County Health Center, 1408 E. Hendrix St., Brazil, will have two enrollment sessions for the Home Again identification program for caregivers or family members of someone experiencing Alzheimer's disease, dementia or any type of disorder that could cause issues with wandering or memory loss at its facility today.
The first session will take place from 10 a.m.-noon, and the second takes place 1:30-3:30 p.m.
The free service allows for the confidential collection of personal identification information, including fingerprints and a current photograph of the patient to be collected all at once.

* Need help relaxing?
Interested people are invited to the Brazil Public Library at 6:30 p.m., Thursday, for an information exercise on several ways to relax.
Judy Berry of Crossroads Studio will be on hand to demonstrate the benefits of massage therapy and regular exercise.
Berry will also show how to help relax with reflexology.

* Silent auction scheduled
A benefit silent auction will take place at the Putnam County Hospital Friday, from 8 a.m.-3 p.m.
The benefit is for an employee's 5-year-old, who is suffering from leukemia.
Items available at the auction include Mary Kay products, Avon products and various restaurant certificates, among other items.
The event will take place in the classroom, located on the third floor of the hospital.

* Repeat performance
The Community Theatre of Clay County will present a repeat performance of "Clue, the Musical," Saturday.
Dinner begins at 5:30 p.m., and the show is scheduled to start at 6:30 p.m. Limited seating is available by reservation only.

* Holiday Bazaar
The Staunton Elementary School PTO will conduct its 24th annual Holiday Bazaar Saturday, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m., at Northview High School.

* Thanksgiving dinner
The 23rd First Baptist Church Thanksgiving Day Dinner will take place at 1 p.m., Nov. 27.
The event will take place at the church, located at 413 S. Walnut St., Brazil.
All are invited to attend at no charge. Delivery will be available to shut-ins in the Brazil area.

* Wreath making session set
Learn to gather and process natural materials to make different shaped wreaths at the Bloomfield Public Library Dec. 6.
From 10:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m., those interested in attending will combine sticks, twigs, grasses, flowers, seeds and evergreens with other embellishments to create unique wreaths for the home.
All materials will be provided but those attending are asked to bring pliers, scissors and gloves.

* Christmas Ball!
The public is invited to the 17th annual Christmas Ball and Debutante Presentation on Saturday, Dec. 6, at the Fife Opera House, Palestine, Ill.
Young ladies are presented to society in the style of the 1860s at 7 p.m.
The Christmas Ball begins after with light refreshments, dancing and live music with Bales of Hay from Mt. Carmel, Ill., at 7:30 p.m.
Learn how to Waltz and do the Virginia Reel at 8 p.m. Dancing continues until 10 p.m.
The ball benefits the Palestine Preservation Society.
Tickets are $5 at the door.
* Home Tour prepared
Tri Kappa's annual Home Tour will take place Dec. 7. Advanced tickets are now on sale for $5.
A chicken and noodle dinner will also take place Dec. 7 at First Presbyterian Church, Brazil.
Advanced tickets are on sale now, costing $6 for adults and $4 for children 3-12.

* Fundraiser scheduled
Clay County Habitat for Humanity will have a fundraiser at Pizza Hut the second Friday of each month from 4-8 p.m. Coupons are available from any Habitat member or by just mentioning Habitat for Humanity when making qualified purchases.
* Food needed
The Cunot Food Pantry is currently conducting a Holiday Food Drive for people who need food for Thanksgiving and Christmas. The food pantry is currently in need of non-perishable food items.
* Flu vaccines
Flu vaccines will be available at the Heart Center of Brazil, Robert C. Oehler's office, 725 S. Forest Ave., Brazil. The vaccines will be available Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, from 8 a.m.-5 p.m.

The Wabash Valley Community Foundation has various scholarship opportunities available to students and residents of the Wabash Valley.
