Bake Sale scheduled at SMWC

WEST TERRE HAUTE -- Sixteen Sisters of Providence are keeping ovens and stovetops busy as they prepare homemade treats for the annual Bake Sale, scheduled for 9 a.m.-3 p.m., Sunday, at St. Mary-of-the-Woods.

Pies, cakes, jellies, jams, breads, truffles, cookies, fudge and more will be available with prices ranging from 50 cents to $10.

All proceeds will benefit the Sisters of Providence.

The event is co-hosted by the Sisters of Providence and The Gift Shop at Providence Center. The bake sale will take place just outside The Gift Shop, which also will be open during the sale.

The Gift Shop will feature fall and Christmas items, in addition to one-of-a-kind St. Mother Theodore Guerin merchandise and other specialty gifts for children and adults.

Eucharistic Liturgy is offered at 11 a.m. Sunday and brunch will take place at the O'Shaughnessy Dining Room from 10:45 a.m.-1:15 p.m.
