Burl Edward White, 76, Brazil, died at 3 a.m., Monday, Monday, Nov. 24, 2008, at his residence.
Burl was born in Putnam County on April 18, 1932, as the son of Charles and Roxie Brewer White.
He served in the United States Army and Army Reserve from June of 1953 to June of 1961.
He had been employed as a carpenter. He was a member of V.F.W. and American Legion Post 2 and Carpenters Union No. 859.
He married Beverly Jenkins on Feb. 8, 1994.
He is survived by his wife Beverly, son David White and wife Susan, Brazil, sisters Carolyn Pettit and husband Dick, Greencastle, and Wanda Johnston and husband Harry, Palm Bay, Fla., brothers-in-law Bob Jenkins and wife Wanda, Knightsville, and Bill Jenkins and wife Carolyn, Harmony, sister-in-law Linda Sanders, Knightsville, and three grandchildren.
At the request of the deceased, his body will be cremated and his ashes buried at Wesley Chapel Cemetery.
