James W. Hamilton, 84, Pensacola, Fla., formerly of Clay County, passed away Thursday, Nov. 20, 2008.
He was born Feb. 21, 1924, in Clay County, the son of Charles and Mary Franklin Hamilton.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Madaline Hutcheson Grace Loveall and Melvina Pell and his brothers Lafe and Chuck.
He is survived by his wife Norma, daughters Kathryn McKenzie and Marilyn Wheeler, both of Brazil, Kathy Shelnock, California, Peggy Parrish, Pensacola, Fla., Karen Houston, Georgia, sons Jimmy, Pensacole, Fla., and Bob, Indiana, grandchildren Darryl Danforth, Mississippi, Becky Miller, Brazil, Christy Harlan, South Carolina, and Sheely, Jordan, Hillary and Brianna Wheeler, Brazil, great-grandchildren Cole and Justine Doyle, Neal Harlan, Dustin Danforth, Andrew and Andrea Wheeler, sister Edwina, brother Omar and several nieces and nephews.
He was laid to rest Nov. 22, 2008, at Pensacola Memorial Gardens, Pensacola, Fla.
