Starting the celebration!

Friday, November 28, 2008

Members of the Northview High School Marching Knights (above) play for those in attendance at the annual Christmas in the Park Parade Friday evening. The parade, which ran from the Clay County Courthouse to Depot Street, drew a large crowd.

3-year-old Cole Albright gets excited as the parade is about to begin. Cole is the son of Phillip and Laura Albright, Coal City. Following the parade, Aerial Arts Fireworks' owner Mark Adamson put on a show.

A really great event. The fireworks were outstanding. There are more and better decorations in the park. The parade was IMHO the best attended in years, quite a crowd turned out.

Nothing like a well decorated Stump Grinder or 4 wheeler to put you in the Holiday Spirit... :)
