James B. Booker, 58, Brazil, died Thursday, Nov. 28, 2008, at St. Vincent Clay County Hospital.
He was born Nov. 3, 1950, in Vincennes, the son of Darwin M. and Marjorie R. (Boardman) Booker.
Mr. Booker was the owner operator of Ecology Pest Control. He was involved in many basketball organizations and was the Linton High School freshman basketball coach. James played in the Jackson Township Band and formerly the Brazil Concert Band.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law Mike Rogers Sr.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years Debbie (Jenkins) Booker, son Jimmy Booker, daughter Jennifer and husband Carl Aker, grandchildren Shaylee and Adrien Aker, all of Brazil. He is also survived by sisters Belinda Rogers and fiancée Jeff Galbraith, Theresa Young and husband Don, all of Brazil, brother Danny Booker and wife Janet, California, and several neices and nephews.
Services will be Wednesday, at 11 a.m., at Moore Funeral Home, 142 N. Washington S., Brazil, with Rev. John O'Neal officating. The family will receive friends today, from 4-8 p.m. Burial will take place at Clearview Cemetery.
