TERRE HAUTE -- Terre Haute Regional Hospital recently honored Thomas E. Rea, who earned his Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Indiana State University in August.

Dr. Rea has been employed at the hospital since August 2007. He had previously worked at the hospital from 1997-2002 in admitting and the Mental Behavioral Unit.

He earned his Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Indiana State University in 2001. During his training, he had the opportunity to work in a variety of mental health settings, including both private practice and community based. He completed his doctoral internship at the VA Illiana Healthcare System in Danville, Ill., in August 2007.

Dr. Rea and his wife, Christina, reside in Brazil, with their daughter, Kennedy. He is originally from Clay City. Besides spending time with his family, he also enjoys watching college sports, especially Notre Dame football, and also enjoys fishing.

Located at 3901 S. 7th St., Terre Haute, Terre Haute Regional Hospital is a 278-bed community-based hospital.
