She was born April 15, 1941, in Terre Haute, as the daughter of Horatio and Eva Howard Hensley.
She and her husband Jack Hayes had worked as campground managers. She was a member of the V.F.W., American Legion, BPOE Elks and Moose Lodge.
She had attended First Presbyterian Church of Brazil.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jack Gene Hayes, who also died in the motor vehicle accident, brothers William Staggs and Horatio Frank Hensley and sister-in-law Julia Jean Hensley.
She is survived by daughter Deborah Ann Hillman, Terre Haute, son Michael Eugene Rozanski II and wife Violet, Florida, brothers James E. Hensley and wife Norma, Terre Haute, Richard A. Hensley and wife Pat, and Newton Eugene Hensley and wife Irene, Brownsburg, granddaughters Rolanda Hillman and husband Brad and Dorthea Haner and husband Thomas, grandson Bobby Braden, great-grandsons Bradley Nicolis Turner Jr., Brandon Haner, Nathan Haner and Bobby Braden Jr., nieces and nephews Danny Hensley, Frank Hensley and wife Sharon, John Bedwell, Susan Fogel and husband Bart, and Terry Jones and husband Jerry, and several great-niece and nephews.
At the request of the deceased, her body will be cremated and a memorial service will be conducted at noon, Friday, Dec. 5, at Moore Funeral Home, with Rev. Gary Scroggins officiating.
