Second half rally falls short for Northview girls

A stout early season schedule continued for the Northview girls' basketball team on Tuesday night as Bloomington North came calling and left with a 51-40 victory.

The Knights fell behind early and trailed 31-14 at halftime, but rallied in the second half, but were unable to overcome the deficit.

Northview got 21 points and seven rebounds from Spring Raines and Kirstin Kimball grabbed six boards, but the Cougars got 18 points from Pendah Jallow and 14 from Kaity Hoy in the victory.

Both teams hit five 3-pointers in the game with Raines knocking home three from long range.

Stormi Raines added nine points for Northview and Carlee Bell tallied five. Kirstin Kimball contributed four in the contest.

The Knights fall to 2-4 overall and travel to Brown County for a conference match-up with the Eagles on Saturday evening.
