Stylish log cabin fourth house on home tour

Wednesday, December 3, 2008

The home of Joe and Tiffany Cook is the fourth home on the 2008 Tri Kappa Home Tour.
Today, we are featuring the fourth house on the annual Tri Kappa Home Tour, the home of Joe and Tiffany Cook, with children Dylan and Kenzie.

Their gorgeous log cabin was built in 2001, but the family purchased the home about three years ago.

It is a four-bedroom, three-bath home with an attached garage. It is a 4,000-square foot home situated on five acres.

The kitchen displays Amish built cabinets and new hardwood flooring throughout.

The main living area has a gorgeous fireplace and is beautifully decorated for Christmas with large oversized stockings for the children made by their aunt.

Just above the living room is a cute, cozy loft that serves as a spare bedroom for guests.

The master bedroom is also on the main floor and has a wonderful attached bathroom with a large walk-in closet.

The entire lower level had to be remodeled due to the floods earlier this year and most of the work was done by Tiffany. She laid all of the flooring and did the painting and wallpaper with the help of some friends. When you see this home, you won't believe all the work she did. It was truly a feat.

Downstairs is a large game room that hosts a pool table, poker table and large projection screen television and in-home theatre area.

There is also a fun play area for the kids.

Down the hall are the children's bathroom and their bedrooms. Dylan's room is playfully decorated in bright orange and blue in support of his favorite football team, the Denver Broncos. He even has a blue Christmas tree.

Kenzie's room is a fun purple that is decorated with every little girl's favorite person, Hannah Montana. She also has her own tree that is purple and you guessed it, decorated in Hannah Montana. It is sure to be all the girls' favorite stop in the Home Tour this year.

Both children's bunk beds were refinished by Tiffany to match their room themes.

This log cabin home is very cozy and a must see!

Other homes featured this year on the home tour are the homes of Craig and Bridget Cook, Randy and Sharon Koehler, Andy and Kelly Kirchner and Jason and Kathy Brown.

Tickets are $5 in advance and $7 at the door of any home.

You may purchase tickets from any Tri Kappa member (Larissa 448-9620 or Meganne 442-1300) or stop by Riddell National Bank's main branch on National Avenue.

The homes will be open from 1-5 p.m., Sunday.

Tri Kappa will also be hosting the Christmas Boutique at the First Presbyterian Church. Cookies will be available with home tour tickets.

Also, Tri Kappa will have a chicken and noodle dinner again this year at First Presbyterian Church. Tickets are $6 in advance for adults and $4 in advance for children.
