Charles Luther Fuetter, 87, Brazil, passed away at 6:05 a.m., Dec. 5, 2008, at St. Vincent Clay Hospital.
He was born Sept. 3, 1921, in Brazil, to Joseph and Anna (Overbeck) Fuetter.
He graduated from Brazil High School and attended Indiana Teachers College for two years prior to joining the United States Navy.
While in the Navy, he served on a Destroyer Escort vessel in the South Pacific during World War II and returned home in 1947.
He worked as a carpenter around the Brazil area for many years until he began working for Custodis until retiring in 1986.
He enjoyed competition target shooting, fishing, woodworking and leather work.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Joseph Fuetter and nephew Steve Fuetter.
He is survived by his children Karen Schrader, Anna Cagann and Kurt Fuetter and nephew David Fuetter.
At his request, cremation services will be provided. Lawson-Miller Chapel has been entrusted with his care.
