Wilbur Everett Trout, 87, Brazil, passed away unexpectedly at 6:30 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 13, 2008, at his residence.

He was born May 26, 1921, in Brazil, as the son of Roy and Sylvia Hoffman Trout.

He worked for the Pennsylvania Rail Road as a young man and then as a supervisor at Gregory Furniture.

Most recently, he worked for the Chrysler Corporation for 30 years, retiring in 1983.

He attended the East Side Christian Church in Brazil. On June 11, 1997, he married Juanita Brewster.

In his free time, he enjoyed traveling and gardening and spending time with friends and family.

He was preceded in death by his first wife Esther Trout, granddaughters Waynette Trout and Karen Trout and grandson Jason Trout.

Survivors include his wife Juanita Trout, son Wilber Trout and wife Norma, Spring, Texas, stepson Richard Knecht and wife Beth, Center Point, stepdaughters Sandra Sutherland and husband Roy and Rhonda Schlachter and husband Joe, Schnellivell, Ind., grandchildren Tracie Powell and husband Bob, Indianapolis, Michele Altom and Crickett Robertson, Terry Trout, Houston, Texas, and Penny Chavez, Magnolia, Texas, nine great-grandchildren, 10 step-great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter, brother-in-law James Clutter, Plainfield, and sister-in-law Alma Frost, Florida, as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Services for Mr. Trout will be at Lawson-Miller Chapel, at 1 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2008, with Pastor Bill Brock officiating.

Burial will follow at Clearview Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the funeral home Wednesday, from 11 a.m. until time of services.
