WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (AP) -- Purdue has received an oral commitment from a high school running back from Florida.
Al-Terek McBurse, who rushed for 2,238 yards and 23 touchdowns for Winter Springs High School last season, says he chose the Boilermakers over Nebraska.
He announced his decision at a news conference at his high school Wednesday afternoon.
The 6-foot, 192-pound McBurse set the single-season rushing record for Seminole County last season and rushed for more than 200 yards in all but two games.
