I want to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas. May you all have a holiday filled with the love and peace of our Savior's Holy Birth.


Sunday School begins at 9:30 a.m., with worship service following at 10:30 a.m. Doug Parkey is the minister. If you need transportation to morning worship service, please phone the church office at 446-3211. The bus is wheel-chair equipped.

Children's Church and Wee Worship are at 10:30 a.m., in the Educational Building. Evening Service begins at 6 p.m. The Melody Makers of Clay County, directed by Doris Pell, will present a Christmas program during the evening service. You are asked to bring your favorite cookies to share during the fellowship time following the service. Punch will be provided.

There will be no Wednesday evening Bible study. Christmas Eve services will be held at 8 p.m., on Dec. 24.

A special "Thank You" to the youth of the church for last Sunday's Christmas program. We appreciate the fine work of the young people, as well as the time and effort of the many adults who helped to make the program such a success.

We welcome into our fellowship Gage Bruer, who was baptized into Christ last Sunday morning.

This Sunday morning, Dec. 21, everyone at church will be treated to breakfast at 9:30 a.m., compliments of David and Elaine. We want to thank them in advance for this thoughtful gift to our church family. The annual Christmas party will be this

Sunday at 6 p.m. Everyone is invited to enjoy a program presented by the young people of the church, followed by fellowship time in the church basement, with refreshments and a visit from Santa Claus. On Christmas Eve, the church will be open for Holy Communion from 5:30-6:30 p.m.

The Community Food Pantry is usually open on the last Wednesday afternoon of each month from 3-5 p.m. in the church basement. However, due to the New Year holiday, the next Food Pantry day will be Tuesday, Dec. 30. Anyone in the Staunton area in need of help is welcome. We truly appreciate the support of our friends at Staunton First Christian Church, as well as other churches, civic organizations, and individuals, in helping to make this needed outreach a success.

A container is located in the Staunton Town Office for anyone who would like to contribute non-perishable food items.

Please remember to keep praying for everyone who is battling illness, as well as all the brave men and women of our military and their families. Also remember in prayer all the folks in nursing homes and hospitals, and those who have lost loved ones. Go out of your way to be kind to someone, and pray for everyone.
