* Traffic converging on Brazil due to Interstate-70 closings.
Due to slick conditions, Indiana State Police has diverted westbound traffic from I-70 at Exit 41, located at State Road 231 onto United States 40.
Officials at the Putnamville ISP Post told The Brazil Times the state highway department is currently on the scene putting salt and sand on the roads, which are expected to reopen as soon as conditions allow.
Eastbound motorists are reportedly leaving I-70 at Exit 11, due to slick conditions and long delays, and rerouting themselves onto US 40.
Officials at the Brazil City Police Department confirmed that traffic is congested along National Avenue.
ISP and BCPD officials recommend that motorists stay home if they don't have to travel, and if motorists have to travel they need to slow down, drive according to the current weather/road conditions and expect long delays.
The foul weather has also caused some local closings, including:
* Clay County YMCA: Closing at 3 p.m., and
* Brazil Public Library: Closed today
