WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP CIRCLE CLUB
The Washington Township Circle Club met Thursday, Dec 11, at 10 a.m. at Judy England's home.
Judy taught us how and we made cinnamon Christmas ornaments. It was lots of fun.
Doris Romas, president, called the meeting to order. The Pledge of Allegiance and club creed were repeated in unison.
Rosalind gave devotions. "The Candy Makers Story of Candy Canes"
Roll call was answered by seven members telling a Christmas memory.
Linda Schiew led us singing "Joy to the World."
Rosalind gave secretary report and Doris' treasurer report both approved.
Judy's Health and Safety lesson about skin care during winter months. Beware of hot water showers - use super moisture products.
Linda gave citizenship report on "Feline Rescue Center" near Centerpoint. They are a W.S.D. license and inspected organization.
The business meeting, Doris reviewed counsel meeting. The Clubs made 156 Scotty dogs for county project.
The Home Show is Feb 20-22 at the Brazil Armory.
Jody will go to the council meeting on March 3.
Judy Spelbring won the door prize. We closed the meeting by singing the Homemakers prayer.
At noon we engaged in a delicious Christmas dinner, with Rosalind giving table grace
We each had taken Christmas cookies and plates were fixed for shut-ins.
A gift exchange was enjoyed and a wonderful social time.
Wilma Rich and Brenda Gunthenburger were also present.
The next meeting will be Jan. 8, 2009 at 1 p.m. at Wilma Rich's home. She will give the lesson "Vissalitte Vinegar"
