Earl I. Buzard, 85, LaGrange, Ga., died Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2008, at Hospice LaGrange.
Mr. Buzard was born Jan. 8, 1923, in Harmony, Ind., son of the late Walter E. and Esther Cooney Buzard.
He was a retired Associate Warden with the Federal Bureau of Prisons and had lived in LaGrange for the past 11 years.
Mr. Buzard was a member of the First Baptist Church in Brazil.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Muriel F. Buzard, LaGrange, Ga., son Bradley E. Buzard and wife Michelle Fidalgo, Jonesboro, and grandchildren Kerrianne Panos, Boston, Stephanie Fidalgo and Christopher Fidalgo, both of Jonesboro.
Services will take place at 2 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 11, 2009, at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, LaGrange Chapel, with Rev. Michael Reeves officiating. Burial will follow in Shadowlawn Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5-7 p.m., Saturday.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation in memory of Mr. Earl I. Buzard.
