FARGO, N.D. (AP) -- Brett Winkelman had 16 points, including the last seven of the game, to lift North Dakota State over IUPUI 55-52 Thursday in the Summit League.
NDSU (9-5, 4-1) trailed 52-48 with 1:34 to play. But Winkelman single-handedly brought the Bison back. He pulled NDSU within one on a three-point play, then gave it the lead 53-52 on free throws with 29 seconds remaining.
Winkelman clinched it with two free throws with two seconds remaining.
The Bison led 21-20 at the half despite shooting just 25 percent and making two of 14 3-point shots.
Ben Woodside led NDSU with 18 points.
IUPUI (9-6, 2-2) got 12 points from Robert Glenn and 11 from Leroy Nobles.
The Jaguars outrebounded the Bison 34-29.
