Letter to the Editor

Board needs to rethink current stance

Sunday, January 11, 2009

To the Editor:

I read where the Humane Society did not accept money from the city.

The people of Brazil are wondering why they are getting charged because we are part of the county.

They pay city and county taxes.

Is it legal to have paid twice for the same service?

Is this not called double dipping?

They go through so many managers. The board does not seem to let the manager to his job, so why does the Humane Society Board pay a manager? This would save the board money. What happens to the inheritance monies the Society receives?

Wake up Humane Society people and do the job for all the county instead of double dipping.

Mary Shonk,

Brazil
