Wabash College Dean Gary Phillips has announced that a Rockville student is on the Dean's List for the fall 2008 semester.

Roger Market, son of Tammy L. Smith, South Piatsville Road, Rockville. Market, a senior, is one of 268 Dean's List students who maintained a 3.5 grade point average or better on a 4.0 point scale.

Wabash College is a private liberal arts college for men located in Crawfordsville, Indiana and was founded in 1832. Long known as one of the nation's finest liberal arts colleges, Wabash is home to the Center of Inquiry in the Liberal Arts. Wabash also is included in Loren Pope's book, Colleges That Change Lives, and is ranked among the nation's best colleges by U.S. News and World Report.


University of Wisconsin at Madison has recognized students named to the Dean's List for the fall semester of the 2008-09 academic year.

Students who achieve at a high level academically are recognized by the dean at the close of each semester. To be eligible for the Dean's List, students must complete a minimum of 12 graded degree credits in that semester. Schools or colleges typically require students to rank in the top 10 percent of their class or achieve a grade point average of 3.75 or higher in order to receive this honor.
