CARBON -- Water in the Carbon area was turned back on Sunday afternoon after being shut off earlier in the day.
Carbon Town Marshal and water department representative Ron Keen said a main line in one of the outlining areas of town was leaking and was shut off around 11 a.m., Sunday.
"It was in a ditch where we couldn't see it," Keen told The Brazil Times.
He said the line was shut off and water was eventually restored to town residents.
"Once we did locate it, we shut it off," he said.
He said water was turned back on for area residents at approximately 4:25 p.m.
Keen added the line could be fixed by as early as Monday.
Water pressure in Carbon had been dropping steadily during the past few days, and, according to Keen, the town had experienced problems during that time before the leak was discovered Sunday afternoon.
