Rosetta Marilyn Blair, 72, Clay City, passed away at her daughter's home at 3:40 p.m., Monday, Jan. 19, 2009.
She was born Feb. 8, 1936, in Greene County. She was the daughter of Henry T. and Pansy Goodman Rooksberry.
Marilyn was a 1954 graduate of Marco High School.
She had been a homemaker all her life. She enjoyed reading, crossword and jigsaw puzzles, crocheting, attending her grandson's soccer games and swinging on her front porch swing.
On Dec. 27, 1958, she was united in marriage to Don R. Blair, who preceded her in death on Oct. 9, 1995.
Survivors include son and daughter-in-law David and Cathy Blair, Clay City, daughter and son-in-law Kathy and Tom Sullivan, Terre Haute, grandchildren Kristina Blair, Clay City, and Eric and Joshua Sullivan, Terre Haute, brothers and sisters-in-law Dr. Donnie and Norva Jeanne Rooksberry, Marco Island, Fla., and Robert and Virginia Rooksberry, Sullivan, brother-in-law Rex Blair, sister-in-law Norma Blair, Clay City, along with several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation will be Friday, Jan. 23, 2009, from 4-8 p.m., at Schoppenhorst Funeral Home, Clay City, and again Saturday, from 8-11 a.m.
Graveside services will be at Maple Grove Cemetery, Saturday, at 11 a.m., with Pastor Steve Rundel officiating.
