North Clay's seventh and eighth-grade girls' basketball teams picked up the second wins of the young season on Wednesday night.
The eighth-grade team scored a 26-25 victory against visiting Chauncey Rose.
Brylie Riddell led the way in the win with a 12-point, 10-rebound effort. Taylor Carter added eight points to go with five rebounds and Cassie Weddle had two points and pulled down four rebounds. Alexus Bex added two points.
On Jan. 19, North Clay posted a 48-31 victory on the road as Carter rang up 22 points for the Knights.
Sierra Girton added nine points for the Knights followed by an eight-point effort from Riddell and seven from Weddle.
The Knights return to action at home on Jan. 26 when South Vermillion comes to visit.
The seventh-grade Knights earned a dominating 51-5 decision against the Royals with a balanced scoring effort from the starters and the bench.
North Clay got nine points from Natasha Barrett and seven from Libby Deckard. Emily Pollard and Megan Mason each had six points and both Brook Berry and Lorrie LaTourette had four points.
The Knights opened the season with a 32-14 victory against Cloverdale paced by eight points each from Lindsey Potter and Pollard. Berry added four along with LaTourette.
North Clay travels to South Vermillion on Jan. 26.
