Club News 1-23-09

Thursday, January 22, 2009

The Tri County Community Club met at Bob and Angie's Restaurant in Clay City on Dec. 3, for our Christmas party. It was a wonderful meal we all enjoyed.

Lucy Strauch and Juanita Neese were the hostesses. Our business meeting was opened by our president, Rhonda Tincher with all repeating the Pledge of Allegiance and our club creed. Wilma Holsapple gave the blessing.

Devotions were read by Juanita Neese "Thanksgiving Divorce," Lucy Strauch "Follow the Good Book," and Rhonda Tincher "St. Nick is not just an Imaginary Elf."

Roll call was answered by 16 members and two guests, Shelly Blythe and Pauline Rubeck.

Secretary's report was read by Gerri Cundiff and approved. The treasurer's report was read by Evelyn Rubeck and approved. The card report was given by Diana Nees with seven cards being sent for the month. The hospital report was given by Juanita Neese and approved.

For the Ways and Means, we're to bring five items to the club next month and have an auction, to help boost our bank account.

Our club in January will be on the 21st with Gerri Cundiff and Wilma Holsapple as hostesses. We had a Christmas gift exchange and we had to guess who our secret sister was. What fun we had. Rhonda Tincher received a birthday gift from her secret sister.

We closed our meeting with the Lord's Prayer.

The social hour was spent playing Bingo, with Donna Rubeck winning coverall.
