TERRE HAUTE -- The Wabash Valley Genealogy Society will offer its Beginner's Genealogy Class at the Vigo County Public Library (main branch) from 6-8 p.m., during the first four Tuesdays in March.
The classes will take place in the library's computer lab.
The Beginner's Class will be open to the public at a cost of $5 for all four sessions, which covers the cost of materials. The materials will include a folder with research tips and documentation forms, a genealogy "how-to" CD, and a free Legacy Program CD, which may be used in recording family history.
The class fills up quickly as the computer lab has limited seating. In order to participate, registration is required.
To register, call Tom Isbell, President of the Wabash Valley Genealogy Society at 812-894-2404 or send an e-mail to Thomas.email@example.com.
In addition to the Beginner's Class, a Legacy Users Workshop is offered each month on the third Thursday. The sessions take place from 2-4 p.m., and 6-8 p.m., in the computer lab of the Vigo County Public Library (main branch). The workshop is open to the public at no cost.
