Don and Janet Trout will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary on Feb. 1, at the Lake Village Clubhouse, Florida. They were married in 1959 at the First Baptist Church, Greencastle. Harold Nolting, Janet's uncle, officiated the ceremony.

Janet is the daughter of the late Earl and Ruthanna Cooksey. She retired from Columbia House, Terre Haute, after 38 years.

Her matron of honor was her sister, the late Jolly Sheets, classmates Coleen Ikamire Fabrycki and Pat Chase Inman were her maids of honor.

Don is the son of the late Schellia Aker and the late William Trout. He owned and operated The Brazil Typewriter Company for 40 years. The late Darrell White was his best man and John Garrigus was his groomsman.

In 2000, the Trouts retired to Florida.

They are the parents of Warren Trout, Seattle, Wash; and the late Nancy Allen. They have two granddaughters, Jesica Fox, South Lebanon, Ohio; and Samantha Fox, and great-grandson, Damion Grabel, both of Mt. Dora, Fla.
