When Sunday rolls around, new management will be running a local health care facility.

Exceptional Living Centers, Inc., Lexington, Ky., will become the management company for Holly Hill Health Care, 501 S. Murphy Ave., Brazil, Sunday.

"We have contacted our families and explained what was going on," Exceptional Living Centers Vice President of Operations Harriett Wallace said.

Wallace said the sale of the facility is still pending with Hoosier Care, Inc., which manages the Clay County Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Wallace said Hoosier Care, Inc., is purchasing Holly Hill Health Care and the company contracts with Exceptional Living Centers.

Exceptional Living Centers also manages Clay County Health Center, 1408 E. Hendrix St., Brazil.

Both Holly Hill and the Clay County Health Center will be integrated during the next few months and will become Exceptional Living Center of Brazil, located at the Murphy Avenue location.

"Holly Hill does have a little more space and it has beautiful land," Wallace told The Brazil Times.

Wallace said there is no specific timetable on when the two facilities will merge and there are no current plans to add to the Holly Hill facility.

In December 2007, it was reported that Holly Hill Health Care was on the market as Hoosier Care, Inc., announced it was in negotiations to purchase the facility.

Exceptional Living Centers manages 14 nursing facilities, senior apartments and assisted living communities throughout Indiana, Illinois and Wisconsin.

According to the organization's website, the company was formed in May 1992 as "a successor to affiliated companies who commenced business operations in 1989."

According to the website, the company was "engaged to manage pediatric long-term healthcare facilities" in 1989.

In 1990, according to the website, the company added the management of geriatric long-term healthcare facilities and in 1996, the company acquired two assisted living facilities.
