Fans of the rivalry between Northview and Clay City High School will have to wait a few more days before both teams face each other on the court.

The Northview/Clay City county showdown, which was scheduled to take place at Clay City on Tuesday, was also postponed. The game will be played at Clay City, Monday, beginning with the junior varsity contest at 6 p.m.

Last year, the Eels knocked off the Knights, 54-48. However, Northview tallied six straight wins in the series from 2001-02 to 2006-07. Before last year's victory, the Eels' last win in the series was a 37-32 victory in 2000-01.

Through Wednesday, the Knights have an 8-7 record, having picked up wins over West Vigo, Riverton Parke, Brown County, Greencastle, Cascade, Danville and South Vermillion.

Northview is scheduled to face Western Indiana Conference foe Sullivan at home Friday.

Clay City is 6-11 heading into today's road showdown against Eastern (Greene). The Eels have picked up victories against Eminence, Shakamak, Rockville, Riverton Parke, Cloverdale and Sullivan this season.
