Mary Corbin Huber, 92, Greenwood, formerly of Terre Haute, died Friday Jan. 30, 2009, at 12:15 a.m., in Greenwood Village South.

She was born May 2, 1916, in Brazil, to Ottomer Corbin and Tressa (Williams) Corbin. She was a school teacher for 44 years having taught in Vigo County and Clay County. She loved every student she had, was a world traveler, having taught in many foreign places. She was a member of Breden Memorial United Methodist Church and the Methodist Women's Association, She was involved in Title 1. She was a member of the Retired Teachers Association and was a graduate of Indiana State University.

She was preceded in death by her husband E. Max Huber, who died March 23, 1991, her parents, two brothers Don Corbin and Warren Corbin, a son-in-law Charles Rancour, three sisters-in-law, and one brother-in-law.

She is survived by her daughter Linda Rancour, Greenwood, grandson Brian Tunin, the "apple of her eye," great-granddaughter Haven Dawn Tunin, and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2009, at 11 a.m., in DeBaun Springhill Chapel, 85 E. Springhill Dr., Terre Haute, with Pastor David Deal officiating. Entombment will be in Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation is Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2009 from 4-8 p.m., in the funeral home. The family suggests that for those who desire, memorial contributions may be made the charity of their choice.
