She was born in West Terre Haute, on June 22, 1922, to Henry Farrimond and Alice Ann Chritchley Farrimond.
Ethel loved to travel, especially to Branson, Mo., and was an avid fan of The Lennon Sisters, Lawrence Welk and Tinkerbell and was a devoted grandmother and great-grandmother.
She was preceded in death by husbands Raymond Creasey and Gordon Hughes, her parents, brothers Henry Farrimond, Stephen Farrimond and James Farrimond, and sister Annie Ozok.
She is survived by son Dennis Creasey and wife Margaret, daughters Alice Slack and husband Bob, Lori Wycoff and Karen Causey and husband Jerry, sister Alice Brown, grandchildren John Slack, Michael Slack, Richard Brown Jr. (and Cindy), David Brown (and Linda), Michael Brown, Kimberly Summerlot, Jason Wycoff, Nathaniel Wycoff (and Melissa), Courtney Wycoff, Matthew Wycoff, Zachary Wycoff and Wyatt Wycoff, great-grandchildren Alexandria Slack, Edward Slack, Brian Brown, Brandy Burris (and Tracee), Dustin Brown (and Stephanie), and Jessica Brown Smith (and Adam), great-great-grandchildren Baily Brown, Nathaniel Wycoff Jr., and Abigail Burris, several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at Callahan-DeBaun Funeral Home, 2425 Wabash Ave., Saturday, Feb. 7, at 11 a.m., with Pastor Randy McPike officiating. Burial will be at Highland Lawn Cemetery.
Visitation will be Friday, Feb. 6, 2009, from 4-8 p.m., in the funeral home and again Saturday, from 9-11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be sent to them to help offset the cost of the funeral expenses.
