She was born on Aug. 14, 1931, in Clay County, the daughter of Archie and Audrey Funk Horn.
She graduated from Clay City High School in 1950 and married Hardy White on March 30, 1953.
She was a homemaker, member and four times past president of the V.F.W. Auxiliary since 1963, member of senior citizens and American Legion.
She is survived by her husband Hardy, son Vernon Keith White, Kansas, son and daughter-in-law Bruce Kevin and Darlene White, Jacksonville, Fla., daughter and son-in-law Karen Darlene and Tim Poff, Lewis, Ind., brother Andy Tex Horn, Coal City, brother-in-law Wayne Stantz, sister-in-law Nina Horn, Clay City, seven grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, four step-great-grandchildren and two step-great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Mary Kathryn Stantz, brother Walter Wayne Horn and sister-in-law Nancy Horn.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2009, at 1 p.m., at Schoppenhorst Funeral Home, with Scott Wiley officiating. Burial will follow in Beech Cemetery.
Visitation will be Monday from 4-8 p.m., at the funeral home.
