CLAY CITY -- The Clay City Eels wrapped up the regular season with a victory over South Putnam, 56-48.
The Eels built a 39-24 lead after three quarters and held on while the Eagles posted a 24-point fourth quarter.
Freshman Carmela Roeschlein knocked down five 3-pointers on the way to a 20-point game and Devyn Bridgewater added nine points for the Eels with a pair of 3-pointers. Britney Glass posted seven points and Allie Miller sank seven-of-10 free throws to score nine points.
Clay City finishes the regular season with an 8-12 mark and squares off against White River Valley in the Class A Clay City Sectional on Feb. 13.
