Commending Humane Society manager

To the Editor:

I want to publicly commend Mr. Rick Moore, manager of the Clay County Humane Society, for his actions on Wednesday, Jan. 28. He traversed over a mile on foot in snow nearly 12 inches in depth, in freezing temperatures, to insure that the animals at the shelter were safe, warm, fed and cared for. We are truly blessed to have such a man to run the shelter.
