With record snowfalls during the winter season, students have spent quite a bit of time out of school.
The Indiana Department of Education (IDOE) requires that students be in school for 180 days, however there have been situations in the past where snow make up days have been pardoned.
"We will not be filling out any of the paperwork for the snow pardon make-up days until we have word from the (IDOE)." Clay Community School Corporation Supt. Dan Schroeder said.
Dr. Tony Bennett, Indiana's Superintendent of Public Instruction is currently reviewing the process of the missed school pardons.
"Even though other school corporations are, we are waiting for information from the IDOE," Schroeder said.
